FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: rotary-piston internal combustion engine has housing with cylindrical working space, rotor with two or three or four pistons in form of free ends of plates freely moving in radial slots of rotor, two disk slide valves with inlet and outlet slots and rotor and pistons cooling and lubricating system. Rotor with pistons and slide valves on its shaft are installed non-coaxially for rotation in cylindrical space of housing which has end face covers with bearings for rotor shaft which is essentially the shaft of engine. In one cover, arc through slots are made equal in number to number of pistons to provide taking in of fuel mixture, and in other cover exhaust slots of the same number of made. Number of slots in slide valves is also equal to number of pistons. Slide valves are set into operation by means of planetary mechanism mechanically coupled with shaft. Rotor is made in form of solid cylinder. Through channel for cooling and lubricating liquid is made along axis of rotor and shaft. Inlet and outlet channels are made in rotor between pistons at different distances from axis of rotor. Corresponding slots of slide valves and covers are arranged at equal distance from axis of rotor with corresponding inlets and outlets of channels in rotor. Such design of engine provides two working strokes (for two pistons) per two revolutions of shaft, three strokes (for three pistons) and four strokes (for four pistons) and efficient cooling of rotor and pistons.
