ELECTROMAGNETIC FUEL METERING VALVE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic valve for metered out delivery of fuel into internal combustion engine has guide with conical seat. Space for delivery of fuel under pressure is arranged below conical seat, and pocket connected with fuel outlet channel is placed above seat. Needle, diameter , placed in guide has sealing collar over outer contour of truncated cone. Outer stepped groove, diameter (0.01-0.04 mm), is made on needle at side of sealing collar. Needle is relieved from fuel pressure forces by means of precision compensator which separates above-needle space from drain space which accommodates electromagnet. Owing to provision of lower and upper stops on compensator, needle forms axially movable connection with armature. Groove on needle and movable connection of needle with compensator simplifies design of valve. EFFECT: improved reliability of operation, increased service life of valve. 2 cl, 2 dwg
