FIELD: pipe line engineering. SUBSTANCE: wedge gate has housing with branch pipes and seats two-disk valving member mounted inside the housing and provided with a wedge lock that connects the valving member with the spindle. The wedge lock is made up as load-carrying and distance wedges. The load-carrying wedge is mounted on the spindle for permitting movement along the spindle. The distance wedge is mounted inside the load-carrying wedge. The bottom of the housing of the gate is provided with a stop that arrests movement of the load-carrying wedge. There are step openings in the valving member from the side that faces the load-carrying wedge. The sides of the load-carrying wedge are provided with [ - shaped hollows and openings. The hollows receive the disks of the valving member for permitting movement perpendicular to the sides of the load-carrying wedge. The step openings in the disks and openings in the load-carrying wedge receive the pressing by-passing valves for permitting interaction with the distance wedge. The outer surface of the valves is spherical and cylindrical. The load- carrying wedge is provided with the top plate. The distance wedge has a stop washer and a screw spring interposed between the top plate and stop washer. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 2 cl, 3 dwg
