FIELD: laying underground pipe lines in heaving soils. SUBSTANCE: method consists in eliminating formation of ice corona around gas line and subsequent floating of it. Prior to laying the gas line in trench 2, longitudinal electrodes are secured on its outer surface. Gas line 1 is laid below boundary 9 seasonal freezing of soil. Metal rods 10 are immersed in soil on either side of gas line 1. Longitudinal electrodes 4 are connected with positive pole and metal rods 10 are connected with negative pole of DC source. Under action of electrostatic field, underground water is directed to rods 10, thus dewatering the soil near gas line 1 and preventing formation of ice corona around gas line 1 when it is used for transportation of cooled gas.
