FIELD: agriculture, plant growing. SUBSTANCE: method involves the use of a mixture consisting of arachidonic acid and/or eicosapentaenic acid or their lower alkyl esters taken at amount 10-50 wt.-% of total acid level and antioxidants and urea. Above indicated composition is used at consumption level: for seed treatment - (10^-1)-(10⁴) mg/t and/or for treatment of the vegetating plants - 1-20 mg/ha as measured for arachidonic acid content and/or eicosapentaenic acid or their lower alkyl esters.
