FIELD: agriculture and food-processing industry, in particular, prestorage treatment of cereals, vegetables and fruits used for production of foods and feeds. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying layer of preservative on surface of product adapted for storage. Preservative used is emulsion containing effective amounts of arachidonic and/or jasmone and/or eicosanic acid or their alkyl ethers, as well as antioxidant and carbamide. EFFECT: increased efficiency in treating plant products without changing their chemical composition and, as a result, without deteriorating quality of food or feed products.
