FIELD: grinding disks production, formation of grinding disk working surface with axial shift. SUBSTANCE: two dressing tools are used and located on both sides of grinding disk. Both dressing tools are simultaneously given longitudinal movement in directions meeting each other till they achieve given distance between them. Radial feeding of the tools is exercised after each their idle run. The dressing tools are applied reciprocating oscillations along direction of longitudinal feeding with amplitude defined by condition of formation on disk slantingly located axially shifted layer. Dressing tools amplitude oscillations value is defined for each grinding disk half-turn using formula A = D.tg (γ), with D - grinding disk outer diameter, m; g - inclination angle of grinding disk axially shifted layer, rad.
