FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has bushing with dressing tool holder, roller with pin, roller rotation drive and system of bushing micrometric line feed. Holder has key groove and central longitudinal hole with circular groove inclined at an angle of αn to plane perpendicular to holder axis. Roller with pin is installed in hole. Roller is coupled to grinding wheel kinematically. Drive is made as armored flexible wire shaft, discs with tapered holes fixed to armour of spherical end pieces, and coupling nuts. The device also includes plate with friction ring at its end installed in flywheel body through thrust bearing and secured in it by means of nut having antifriction coating. Flywheel is screwed into threaded ring fixed on grinding-wheel casing. Hole is made in plate for flexible shaft end piece, and the second end of flexible shaft is fixed to roller. Angle αn depends on grinding-wheel height, width of axially-shifted cutting layer and holder hole diameter. The device allows to form of axially-shifted cutting layer on periphery of grinding wheel without removal of the latter from machine-tool and to reduce labor intensity during formation of grinding wheels of large diameter (500-800 mm).
