FIELD: mechanical engineering; truing of grinding wheels. SUBSTANCE: truing is carried out by high pressure liquid stream. Stream is set in contact with point of intersection of grinding wheel left-hand end face and its lower generating line and is directed tangentially to grinding wheel. In half turn of wheel, truing tool is shifted longitudinally to the right through value found from relationship $$$ where D is outer diameter of grinding wheel, $$$ is angle of tilting of axially displaced cutting layer of grinding wheel preset at designing, and in other half-turn of wheel truing tool is shifted longitudinal backwards through value $$$. After complete turn of wheel tool is shifted discretely longitudinally to the left through value found from relationship $$$ where B is height of wheel, H is height of axially displaced cutting layer of wheel set at its designing, n is number of discrete displacements of truing tool. After finishing the forming of one end face surface, delivery of working fluid is cut off and truing tool is returned to initial position. EFFECT: improved quality of wheel truing tool. 2 cl, 2 dwg
