FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves application of kinetic energy of vessels 2, 3 dropped in hollow tube 1 to overcome pressure of liquid column as vessels 2, 3 enter it; vessels 2, 3 are held in liquid by means of chains 10 and while moving up under the action of buoyancy force of liquid, they impart pressure to them and set output shaft in rotary motion through gear wheels 7 joined with chains 10. Device implementing this method has tube 1, vessels 2 and 3, gripping device 4, frame 5, coupler 6, gear wheels 7, locking device 8, springs 9, lock disconnecting gear on chains 10, dumping mechanism 11, resetting unit 12, locking device 13, and chains 14.
