Abstract RU 2076290 C1

FIELD: melting of mineral materials. SUBSTANCE: gas cupola furnace has shaft 1, burners 2 with tunnels 3 at hearth 4, water-cooled beams 5 forming grid above tunnels 3 and dividing the shaft into upper smelting chamber and lower overheating chamber. Water-cooled beams are made in form of chute 6 located in chute 7 narrowing towards hearth 4. Walls of inner and outer chutes are rigidly connected in widened upper portion of chutes forming clearance 8 in their narrowing portion. Inner chute 6 of water-cooled beams 5 is filled with refractory material 9. Inner chute 6 of water-cooled beam 5 has form of angle or broken line, or arc, or combination of arcs, or combination of straight lines with arc in cross section.
