FIELD: vacuum seals; shutting-off working openings of vacuum devices; introduction of large-sized objects in rarefaction space or removal of them from such spaces without disturbance of vacuum. SUBSTANCE: damper is located in vacuum seal for motion along outlet opening till closing is completed; damper is engageable with leverage by means of adjusting screw fitted on end surface of leverage. Damper may be made in form of rectangular member; sealing drive mechanism may consist of at least two hydraulic cylinders; sealing mechanism is engageable with damper by means of leverage and adjusting screws mounted at ends of respective rods. EFFECT: extended functional capabilities of vacuum seal and enhanced reliability. 2 cl, 2 dwg
