FIELD: spectral analysis of chemical composition of metallurgical raw material, complexly alloyed steels, alloys, slag and other multicomponent matters. SUBSTANCE: method of quantitative spectral analysis includes selection of mass of samples of analyzed matter of known chemical composition and registration of analytical signals of selected mass. Then establishment of values of coefficients of system of calibration characteristics is conducted by signals and concentrations of selected mass and selection of calibration samples from total mass. After registration of analytical signals of calibration and analyzed samples values of coefficients of system are set by calibration samples which chemical composition correspond to evenly distributed plan. EFFECT: expanded application field, improved authenticity of method. 1 tbl
