FIELD: emission spectral analysis, in particular, quantitative spectral analysis of chemical content. SUBSTANCE: method involves preliminary switching of driving mode by means of alternation of inductance or other characteristics of oscillation circuit, driving electric discharges of high-voltage condensed opposite-polarity sparks by means of generator, periodic break of high-voltage circuit of generator during driving, additional switching of driving mode with period of factor of electric discharge alternation when high-voltage circuit of generator is opened, and setting switching phase so that switching moments coincide with moments when voltage in high-voltage circuit of generator is equal to zero.
