RANGE DIRECTIONAL ANTENNA Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

Abstract RU 2076407 C1

FIELD: antenna engineering. SUBSTANCE: antenna has zigzag-shaped radiating metal curtain 2 degraded into ring filled with two metal sectors 4 with power supply points at their tops and with flat screen-reflector 3. Metal sectors 4 of radiating curtain 2 are provided with cuts 5 shaped as segment portions formed by arcs of radius R = 0,18λmax. and chords passing at distance l = 0,15λмакс from power supply points 1. Side surfaces of one metal sector are joined with side surfaces of other metal sector of resistor 6, R = (100-200) Ohms, facing them at points spaced l = 0,15λmax from power supply points. EFFECT: reduced size (distance between screen-reflector and radiating curtain) and enlarged operating range of antenna without changing its basic electric characteristics.
