FIELD: antenna engineering; small-size ultrahigh-frequency radio direction finders. SUBSTANCE: antenna has planar reflector screen 1 and zigzag-shaped metal radiating curtain 2 degenerating into ring filled with two metal sectors 6 with power points in their apexes and with cuts shaped as part of segments 7 and formed by arcs of radius R = 0,18λmax and chords spaced through l = 0,15λmax from power points; side surfaces of one metal sector are connected to those of other metal sector of (100-200)-Ohm resistor arranged as their mirror images at points spaced through l = 0,15λmax from power points. Conical extension piece 3 is installed in plane of zigzag-shaped radiating curtain 2 coaxially with its smaller base and towards radiation with its larger one. Conical extension piece 3 is made in the form of conducting truncated cone with opening angle α = 120 deg. , smaller-base diameter d = (0,38-0,385)λmax, and height H = (0,08-0,1)λmax. Mounted in plane of larger base of extension piece 3 is planar ellipse-shaped metal diffuser 4 whose greater part is equal to diameter of radiating curtain 2 and smaller part, to (0,25-0,3)λmax. Metal diffuser 4 is mounted in plane of greater base of conical extension piece 3 with its larger axis along line crossing zero-potential points of radiating curtain 2, where λmax is maximal wavelength of operating range. Novelty is introduction of conical extension piece 2 and planar metal diffuser 4 whose description is given above. EFFECT: improved antenna gain. 3 dwg
