FIELD: agricultural engineering; harvesting standing crops with separate harvesting of seeds and stalks. SUBSTANCE: method comes to separation of seeds from clusters by pressing out, with plant stalks being preliminarily upset before separation, pneumatic transportation of separated seeds into hopper for sorting out and mowing the stalks which are dried, if necessary, and then pressed. Device has self-propelled chassis with fitted on frame. Frame carries stalk dividers, seed separator made in the form of row of pairs of rotating conical rolls. Each pair of rolls has seed receiver. Device has seed transportation conveyor, stalk cutter and stalk transportation conveyor. Rolls in pair are installed for pressing to each other through side surfaces in vertical plane. Frame is installed for turning in vertical plane. EFFECT: increased efficiency of device owing to provision of separate harvesting of seeds and stalks and separation of seeds. 5 cl, 5 dwg
