FIELD: rearing of live organisms, for example, invertebrates for further usage as animal feed. SUBSTANCE: apparatus is formed as tunnel buried into ground to the level of roof and mounted on surface inclined at an angle of 1-15 deg to horizontal plane. Upper end of tunnel is provided with hopper for charging substrate and initial portion of worms and lower end is provided with worm separating and biohumus feeding device. Substrate is conveyed by means of troughs with interconnected pulling members and drive formed as jack mounted on discharge end of tunnel. Tunnel may be further provided with additional hoppers for intermediate feeding and with humus rippers. Hoppers may be mounted on guides. Heat-exchanger tubes are positioned in air passage below troughs. Substrate preparing platform may be disposed within air passage. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and increased production. 8 cl, 12 dwg
