FIELD: catalytic organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: in order to prepare hydrogenizate which is high-octane component of motor gasoline as commercial product, phenol resin is subjected to hydrocatalytic conversion in admixture with isopropyl benzene or hydrogenizate in the presence of hydrogen, hydrogen-containing gas or methane-hydrogen fraction in two consecutively operating reactors. The first reactor contains composition I catalysts NiO, MoO3, Sn, Mg-Si, Al2O3 and composition II catalysts Pd, P3Э2O3, Mg-Si, Al2O3; the catalyst I to catalyst II volumetric ratio is 4:1. The second reactor contains catalysts Pt, F, Sn, ZSM-8 and Al2O3. Aromatic concentrate with octane number determined by 95-105 point method is produced at 320-380 C, pressure of 3-5 Mpa, volumetric feedstock rate of 2-3 h-1 for each reactor and hydrogen containing gases to feedstock ratio of (1000-2000); 1 l/l.
