FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: present invention, describes method of preparing motor gasoline at hydrogen-free contacting of industrial butane-butylene fraction containing 2-90% butylenes, not higher than 3% divinyl, with catalyst comprising zeolite TSVN, TSVM, ZSM-5(8), zinc, γ- aluminium oxide activated with mixture of inert gas and steam at 500-580 C and activating mixture feed rate of 50-500 h h-1. As conversion of butenes becomes lower, catalyst is reactivated with butane fraction at 510-530 C for 1 hour and regenerated with nitrogen-air mixture with steam at 1:(0.2-0.3) at 250-550 C. Octane number of the resulting gasoline is 91-98 points according to research method. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method. 9 cl, 3 tbl
