FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: process is related to production of synthetic ester waxes with wide interval of temperatures of drop falling, to production of polishing and protective compositions for paper, leather, wood, etc. Process consists in interaction of fatty acid with monoethanolamine in molar proportion 1:1-0.6. After this reaction product is additionally treated with fatty acid with same or different number of atoms of carbon in molar proportion of reaction product to fatty acid 1:0.1-1.1. Process is performed under conditions of boiling of reaction mixture under atmospheric pressure till acid number equal to 40-60 is achieved with subsequent treatment under vacuum under residual pressure 150-500 mm Hg until required acid number and saponification number of finished product are achieved.
