SUBSTANCE: the claimed process comprises reacting fatty acid or mixture of fatty acids with monoethanol amine in molar ratio of monoethanol amine to fatty acid of (1.0:1.2): 2, and process is carried out under heating when reaction mixture boils at atmospheric pressure till acid number reaches 40-60 followed by vacuum treatment at residual pressure of 150-500 mm Hg at 160-180 C till the desired acid number and the saponification number of the final product are achieved.
