FIELD: lubricants. SUBSTANCE: method involves preparation of high-quality multifunctional grease, synthetic fatty acid fraction C10-C20 is first dispersed in mineral oil together with 2-8% of sulfonated kerosene or gas oil and acetic acid. Resulting reaction mixture is then heated to 55 C, stirred for 1 h at 55-70 C, neutralized with calcium hydroxide, and thus formed soapy oil system is subjected to heat treatment at 150-160 C for 3-4 h and cooled at stirring to 90 C. Finally grease is homogenized. EFFECT: lowered grease cooking temperature to 150-160 C (from 220 C), simplified procedure, improved a variety of grease characteristics, and reduced price. 1 tbl, 6 ex
