FIELD: medicine; labour protection, particularly, myopia prevention for users of color video terminals, mainly, personal computers. SUBSTANCE: method involves setting color display screen brightness in range of 30-250 cdl/m2 , adjusting illumination of working place in range of 100-500 lx, as well as shortening time length of continuous working at display screen; specific feature of proposed method is periodic synthesis of real color image carried out within spectral range of 380-770 nm on base of selection and periodic elimination of spectral region of luminous radiation ranging from 380 to 510 nm and corresponding to blue and violet color components; selected spectral region is substituted for radiation with different wavelengths which are absent in real image, with total time length of substitution and synthesis being at least three times as large as time length of whole color image reproduction; applied frequency of elimination-recovery cycle is ranged from 0.001 Hz to 25 Hz and never exceed display frame scan frequency; above-mentioned selected spectral region may be replaced by another one with wavelengths of 510-710 nm or 580-610 nm; periodic recovery of real color image ensures its preservation, as well as possibility for transition to usual mode of operation with computer; urgency of proposed method is caused by wide computer application and programmer's eye strain under condition of prolonged working period.
