FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: system for visualizing a virtual image. The system contains a wearable optical device with a diffractive optical element and a projection device with an emitter that directs a visible image to the user's eye. The projection device is equipped with a processor and feedback elements that are manually controlled by the user. The diffractive optical element is equipped with at least two different holograms, providing the ability to direct an image from an emitter located at angles to the user's eye θ+∆θi and θ-∆θi to the diffractive optical element, where θ - the angle corresponding to the basic position of the projection device in the user’s hands; ∆θi is the angle of deviation from the central position, and ∆θi≥0, i - serial number i=1…n.
EFFECT: expanding the possibility of interconnection with a virtual image, providing the ability to observe a virtual image when turning the eyes, expanding the field of view while preserving the virtual image, as well as simplifying and facilitating projection.
