FIELD: industrial arts. SUBSTANCE: invention relates, in particular, to producing decorative effect on pottery and may be used in manufacturing high-art ware from sponge porcelain. Fragments inside outline of drawing are painted with solutions of water-soluble salts and metal oxides by way of applying painting with brush onto crock not subjected to high-temperature tempering. Succeeding details of contour are then formed by way of applying slip layer-by- layer after preceding layer loses its mobility. Invention is distinguished with that, as contour forming slip, initial porcelain slip is utilized to which moisture-loss inhibitor is added in amount 2-3 wt %, and final high-temperature tempering is carried out at 1355-1365 C for 12-14 h. EFFECT: improved graphic quality and enlarged spectrum of artistic possibilities in decoration of sponge porcelain with metal compounds and special slips by raised painting approach.
