FIELD: cleaning of liquids, drinking water in particular. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has housing with cover, inlet and outlet branch pipes, thin-walled perforated reservoir filled with sorbent and filter element which is located coaxially inside housing. Reservoir is made in form of sleeve with perforated bottom and lower portion of side wall; ratio of height of perforated portion of side wall to height of sleeve is equal to 1:3-5; ratio of height of layer of sorbent to height of sleeve is equal to 1:1.05 - 1.15. EFFECT: reduction of resistance to flow by 25 to 35 percent; increase of service life by 1.3 to times at reduction of consumption of sorbents by 5 to 15 percent; self-cleaning and regeneration of filter without disconnecting it from line. 3 dwg
