FIELD: dental care. SUBSTANCE: device comprises casing with holder 1 and working portion in the form of elongated main wedge 2 with curved narrow portion 2. The latter carries at its end means 4 for fixation of dental filament 5 passed through opening in holder 1. Dental filament 5 is stored in filament storing assembly 7 positioned at junction point of elongated main wedge 2 and holder 1. Assembly 7 for storing dental filament 4 is arranged on outer surface of holder 1 at junction point of auxiliary elongated wedge 8 base and holder 1. Auxiliary elongated wedge 8 has at its end opening 9 adapted to hold dental filament 5 fixed without tension, and also has filament fixing means 4 made in the form of dental filament end positioner. Moreover, holder 1 can be made in the form of plate-like clamp. Assembly 7 for storing dental filament 5 can be formed as reel having single flange and drum rigidly attached to holder 1. Junction area of elongated main wedge 2 base and holder 1 can be made concave. Holder 1 as viewed in longitudinal section is outlined by parallel extending arcs of second-order curves. Dental filament 5 storing assembly 7 can be formed as flat element fixed on holder 1 by two rods. Alternatively, device can be provided with flexible pipe 10 interposed between opening 6 of holder 1 and end opening 9 of auxiliary elongated wedge 8.
