FIELD: household equipment. SUBSTANCE: swab has head with hollow handle, where two slides are mounted. One slide is loaded with return spring. Squeezing roll is mounted on shaft in head. Cheeks are attached to squeezing roll ends and connected with blocks. Spring-loaded slide has rod with brake shoe fixed on its lower end and engageable with squeezing roll. Cables are inserted through handle and their one ends are connected to cheeks through blocks and other ends are passed through pulleys and connected with second slide. When slide connected with cables is pulled upward, squeezing roll is compressed and moisture is squeezed from it. When other slide is urged, squeezing roll is braked or released, and sweeping surface of swab is changed. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and easy operation. 3 dwg
