FIELD: medicine, cardiology. SUBSTANCE: patient is subjected to two successively conducted electrophysiological examinations to determine increment in duration of refractory periods inherent in additional conduction paths, first examination being conducted after intravenous administration of antiarhythmic preparation and second one-upon expiration of 7-10 days during which said preparation is taken orally. If after 7-10 days increment value is still preserved at level of at least 60% of starting level, said preparation is considered as effective for prolonged use. EFFECT: efficient approach for evaluating novel pharmaceutical preparations for cardiology.
