FIELD: mining; applicable in support of mine workings. SUBSTANCE: metal panel-type support consists of segments made of roll-formed section in form of symmetrical trough with small trough on the bottom and external trough on flanges. Segments are connected by yielding units in which they are laid to overlap one another by symmetrical troughs for interaction of side walls to form support separate unit. Segments in yielding units are connected by locks in form of coupling with cover plates installed to be engageable with bottom of external troughs. Couplings are installed between support units and may be in form of bolts or wedges. Support may be ladder-type, with similar lengths of segments. Ends of segments may be rectilinear. Couplings may be in form of clamps with nuts. EFFECT: support becomes yielding with improved adaptability for its manufacture. 5 cl, 4 dwg
