FIELD: mechanical engineering; vehicle drives. SUBSTANCE: inertia engine is made up of independent inertia members arranged in two relatively perpendicular planes. Each inertia member has rotating frame 5 coupled by one side with driven shaft 6 through bevel gear train 7 and fitted by other side on axle of fixed bevel gear 8 rigidly secured in housing 3. Shaft 9 rotating in bearings is installed square to axis of rotation of frame 5. Shaft 9 has two bevel gear 10, 11 mounted on opposite ends of shaft 9 and engaging with fixed bevel gear 8. One of gears is rigidly secured on shaft, and gear 10 installed for movement relative to shaft 9. Shaft 9 has two unbalance weights 12, 13. Weight 12 is fixed on shaft 9, and weight 13 is secured by one end on bevel gear 10 and by opposite end on shaft 9 through bearing. Each inertia member is connected by bevel gear train 16 with engine drive shaft 14. One support of inertia members in one parallel plane is turned through 90 degrees relative to other support.
