METHOD OF PROCESSING OF SOLID DOMESTIC GARBAGE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: processing of solid domestic garbage by gasification. SUBSTANCE: solid domestic garbage containing combustible components is charged in a vertical shaft furnace (reactor) admitted to which in countercurrent to solid domestic garbage is a gasifying agent containing oxygen. Conditions of pyrolysis of solid domestic garbage are provided in the reactor with subsequent incineration (gasification) of carbon residues of pyrolysis. Conditions of processing of solid domestic garbage are optimized by adjusting the flow rate of the gasifying agent and relation between the content of non-combustible and combustible components in solid domestic garbage and content of oxygen in gasifying agent, as well as, if possible, by introducing solid non-combustible material or solid fuel as a component of solid domestic garbage to be processed. The combustion temperature is to be maintained within 700 to 1400 C. Fixed gases, having a high calorific power, can be used as fuel. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 14 cl, 2 dwg
