FIELD: power engineering; removal of condensate from heat consuming apparatus using water steam. SUBSTANCE: steam trap has cylindrical housing with discharge branch pipe mounted in its upper portion and supply branch pipe mounted in upper end of housing and brought inside it forming circular passage which is communicated with branch pipe mounted in lower portion of housing; housing is also provided with throttling member and screens mounted at inlets of discharge and supply branch pipes; supply branch pipe is brought in communication with circular passage by means of slotted holes of supply branch pipe; throttling member is made in form of spherical bodies arranged in supply branch pipe and in circular passage; spherical bodies are arranged in circular passage at space factor ranging from 0.75 to 0.85. Spherical bodies are made from material whose density is no less than 1000 kg/cu. m; diameter of spherical bodies exceeds size of mesh of screens and width of slotted holes. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 2 dwg
