SYSTEM MEASURING FLOW RATE OF FLUID MEDIUM Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: oil, petroleum refining and petrochemical industries, systems supplying and distributing liquid fuel over pipe-line, in particular, at gas-filling stations. SUBSTANCE: proposed system includes turbine flowmeter installed in pipe-line to measure flow rate of fuel in this pipe-line, volumetric device for periodic check measurement of volume of medium flowing in pipe-line during specified time period, computer to compare measured values, to correct readings of flowmeter in compliance with check measurement and to output information on current and/or summary flow rate and/or remaining fuel and indicator to display measured and calculated values. Float level gauge with contact strip installed in discharge tank or communicating with it which reference points correspond to readings of measuring scale of tank is used in the capacity of volumetric device. Float level gauge may be provided two floats for simultaneous measurement of two media present in one tank but having different densities, specifically fuel and product water.
