FIELD: agricultural technology. SUBSTANCE: method is used in selecting plants for higher productivity, adaptivity, and with respect to winter rye - for frost-resistance, drought-resistance and other characteristics. Prior to hybridization, produced from primary population of winter rye are two populations which are homeological as to nuclear genome and different as to cytoplasmone. Population with different frost-resistance cytoplasmone is produced by way of rigid continuous multiple selections in provocative conditions. Combining of populations is effected by repollination, using in this case population with changed cytoplasmone in function of maternal form. EFFECT: high efficiency. 7 tbl
