FIELD: agriculture, in particular, selection of durum spring wheat and other gramineous crops. SUBSTANCE: method involves selecting productive plasmagene-determined kinds of durum spring wheat featuring multinodal rootage, intensive growth and development by selecting genotypes in secondary sprout progenies of plants-regenerants RF(2) semi-sterile or sterile by main ear. These plants are vernalized in vitro and planted at three-leaves stage in moisture-deficient soil. Method allows high productivity and adaptivity forms of plants, featuring multinodal rootage system, drought-resistance, intensive growth and development rate and other cytogene-controlled parameters, to be selected.
