FIELD: welding technology; welding and surfacing requiring preliminary and concurrent heating. SUBSTANCE: welding flux contains the following components: manganese oxide, 23.0 - 29.0 %; calcium fluoride, 6.5-9.0 %; aluminium oxide, 6.5 - 8.0 %; calcium oxide, 7.0 - 10.5 %; magnesium oxide, 0.5 - 3.5 %; ferric oxide, 1.0 - 1.8 %; potassium oxide and/or sodium oxide, 0.6 - 2.4 %; silicon oxide, remainder. Ratio of content of calcium oxide to silicon oxide ranges from 0.127 to 0.293; ratio of sodium and/or potassium oxide to calcium fluoride ranges from 0.092 to 0.267. EFFECT: enhanced separation of slag crust, reduced porosity of weld seams, increased impact strength of built-up metal. 3 tbl
