FIELD: mechanical engineering; welding. SUBSTANCE: in proposed method of fused flux production provision is made for re-use of solidified slag in higher amounts without impairing quality of flux and welded metal. Share of solidified slag in mixture is determined depending on number of its re-uses in welding-surfacing process: at use of 1-2 times - not exceeding 70%; at use of 3-6 times, not exceeding 43%; at use more than 6 times - not exceeding 22%. At simultaneous use of all types of solidified slag in mixture, its share does not exceed 35% at ratio of solidified slag types being 4:2:1. EFFECT: reduced cost of flux and production wastes. 2 tbl
