FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for application of high-alloy cladding layers by automatic submerged-arc hard-facing by plate electrode under electroslag mode of working surfaces of modern bodies of nuclear reactors and other high-pressure vessels. Welding compound contains components in the following ratio in wt %: calcium fluoride - 40-70, aluminium oxide - 15-30, silicon oxide - 1-15, calcium oxide - 0.5-12, aluminium - 0.1-3, iron oxide - 0.05-3, chromium oxide - 0.05-3, sodium - 0.01-3, potassium - 0.01-3. Calcium fluoride-to-aluminium oxide ratio makes 2.5-4.0, while aluminium oxide-to-silicon oxide makes 1.3-3.7.
EFFECT: high-quality flawless hard-facing.
