FIELD: oil production industry. SUBSTANCE: method of pumping and transferring small-size particles into natural porous medium can be used in oil production technology, namely in tertiary oil production technology or at plugged high-permeability zones of oil pool. According to method, natural porous medium is washed with water solution compatible with it and containing at least one hydrocarbon compound selected from group of water-soluble polymers, water-dispersed polymers or anionic surface-active substances. Then, pumped into natural porous medium is plug made up of particles suspended in water solution compatible with porous medium and containing at least one similar hydrocarbon compound.
