FIELD: preparation of catalysts for industrial organic syntheses. SUBSTANCE: invention concerns preparing cupric chloride-containing catalyst on alumina carrier. Microspheres of industrial-grade aluminium trihydrate are subjected to heat treatment in fluidized bed with gaseous heat carrier (flue gas produced on burning sulfur-free heating gas) at 750-100 C for 4-6 h in shaft kiln charged with fired molded grains prepared from hard inert material. Microspherical aluminium trihydrate is passed through the charge as ascending forward flow. Then, carrier is impregnated with cupric chloride aqueous solution and dried to produce catalyst. EFFECT: improved procedure.
