FIELD: transport engineering; passive safety devices for automobile driver and passengers. SUBSTANCE: seat belt length adjuster has flat ring shackle with rectangular hole, movable lock mounted on shackle through which adjustable portion of strap is passed at one side through hole in shackle. It has also protective and decorative cover with circular rib on outer surface and thrust ribs on inner surface, insert - indicator in form of strip enclosed by non-adjustable portion of strap forming a closed loop together with one of sides of circular shackle and part of cover adjoining the shackle. Design peculiarity of device is that one or more holes are made on one side of circular shackle, and projections made on insert-indicator are fitted in holes. Insert - indicator has protective boss arranged at side of external longitudinal edge of circular shackle. EFFECT: facilitated adjustment of belt length. 2 cl, 5 dwg
