FIELD: transport engineering; protection of driver and passengers in emergency situations. SUBSTANCE: lock has engageable detachable and receiving parts first of which is made in form of tongue with eye for strap and hole on inserted end, and second one consists of mechanism enclosed in protective case and including U-shaped holder with tie-rod for fastening lock in body. Lock is provided with turnable U-shaped catch with tooth on front part mounted for turning in holder. Tooth is made for engagement with hole in holder base and hole on tongue. Side of catch terminate in lugs bent symmetrically through angle α and fitted in cutouts on side walls of holder. Lock has spring-loaded stop for catch installed for displacement in holes of holder walls, parallel to itself and to holder base, under action of release button engaging with surfaces of symmetrical projections formed on catch sides, and spring-loaded tongue pusher provided with perpendicular posts on ends of symmetrical legs made for engagement through end faces with lower edges of catch sides. rear edges of catch projections are made with backward tilt relative to plane square to direction of stop spring force whose angle is 1-3 degrees. Support of stop spring is made in form of L-shaped plate bracket provided with coaxial hole in base for toe-rod rivet, and symmetrical projections arranged in cutouts of holder side walls. method comes to assembling unified intermediate assembly unit with finishing operations carried out on separate processing line or lines adapter for tie-rods of different designs.
