FIELD: charcoal production. SUBSTANCE: kiln designed for dry hardwood distillation contains casing separated into pyrolysis chamber 2 and drying chamber 3. The two chambers are interconnected through air duct 9 with hydraulic gate 10. Pyrolysis chamber 2 is provided with scatterer 8 mounted in into the chamber bottom. Into the upper part of chamber 2, pipeline with air blower and cooler is mounted in. Pipeline from cooler is led under scatterer 8. Pipeline from air blower is led into hearth 6. When operated, kiln is provided with forced blasting resulting in full utilization of heat of kiln gases. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of operation. 2 dwg
