FIELD: functional elements of automatic control systems, applicable for automatic tracking of various sources of optical radiation, in particular, stars. SUBSTANCE: the known device containing series - connected photodetector and control signal generating unit, as well as series - connected digital-to-analog converter, power amplifier, actuating motor, mechanical transmission and a mirror additionally uses a digital compensating device consisting of series-connected predictor, linear compensating link and a summator (Σ), as well as a square signal generator, whose output is connected to the second input of the summator; the predictor input is connected to the output of the control signal generating unit, and the summator output is connected to the input of the digital-to-analog converter. The offered device provides for a smooth and precise motion of the mirror that transforms the angle of motor turn to linear motion, and then to the angle of mirror turn and, at last, to linear motion of the photodetector center. The above system can find application not only in astronavigation systems, but also in any other adaptive optical systems. EFFECT: expanded functional abilities of the autotracking loop due to enhanced speed of response, with all other quality indices, and first of all stability, remaining unchanged.
