FIELD: optical instrument engineering, applicable for determination of the position of the optical radiation source located in the field of vision of the position indicator both in independent operation and in operation as a component of the vehicle - borne equipment. SUBSTANCE: the optoelectronic position indicator has a balanced two-degree-of- freedom gyroscope with a system of electromagnetic correction in the form of a solenoid, whose coil accommodated in suspension a rotor, rigidly secured on whose permanent magnet is an optical system containing an aspheric main mirror and a counter-mirror, as well as a device having photodetectors sensitive to ultra-violet and near infra-red radiations. The device has holders for attachment of the functional members into a single system, as well as for introduction of a correcting lens and a beam-splitting filter, installed between the counter-mirror and correcting lens, in the optical system, which makes it possible to simultaneously direct the reflected ultraviolet and passed-through infra-red radiations to the photodetectors. Besides, the photodetectors and optical system are rigidly secured on the permanent agent of the rotor. Such a design provides for modulation of radiation directly falling on the photodetector.
