FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves taking blood sample and separating neutrophils for extracting lipides from their membranes and producing lipid extract. Lipids amount is determined from measuring optical density and diagnostic coefficient value is calculated. Phospholipid fraction contents including lysophosphatidyl choline, sphygmomyeline and phosphatidyl ethanolamine and also cholesterol contents are to be determined in neutrophil membranes from their optical density at wavelength of 655 nm for phospholipids and at wavelength of 650 nm for cholesterol. Diagnostic coefficient is calculated from formula DC= + (Ch-LPC)/Chl. Diagnostic coefficient value being from 2.0 to 2.8, symptomatic arterial hypertension on the background of pyelonephritis is diagnosed. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy. 2 tbl
