Then, diagnostic coefficient DC is calculated from formula DC=1/1+expexp^-x, where X =13.25+5.92*SM - 2.88*LPC + 0.08*CH + 0.29*age, SM is the sphyngomyeline level in blood platelets membranes (nmole/10⁶ cells), CH is the cholesterol level in blood platelets membranes (nmole/10⁶ cells).
