FIELD: electronic engineering: electron guns for vacuum-tube devices (klystrons, travelling-wave tubes). SUBSTANCE: device has single-level electron gun with electron-beam manipulator 2, spherical and planar pole shoes 3 and 7, respectively, magnetic field source 6 connected to planar pole shoe by its north pole, cavity unit 8, and insulated collector 10. Insulator 5 is inserted between spherical and planar pole shows and interconnected in center by conducting rod 9; spherical pole shoe is connected to insulated collector through divider and planar one, as well as cavity unit are grounded; conducting rod carries current of magnitude not exceeding , where Ry is radius of circle on which centers of transit-time channels are located; Bz is mean value of longitudinal magnetic field; α is azimuthal angle of turn: N is number of electron beams; L is distance between spherical and planar pole shoes; Ib is electron beam current. EFFECT: improved output power and current flow conditions due to reduced azimuthal shift of beams. 2 dwg
